I am a student studying at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. The returning trip this year has made me deeply aware of the strength of overseas Chinese federation and the warmth of hometown. At the start of this year, a sudden outbreak of novel coronavirus epidemic disrupted people’s pace of life. My mother is a medical worker in the front line, who had to stay in her workplace and thus seldom came home since January 28. At the early stage of the epidemic, the cadres of the overseas Chinese federation of Shiqiao sub-district, Xiacheng District, Hangzhou came in contact with me, asked about my life abroad and told me that they would help take care of my old grandparents at home, and asked me to feel at ease. As the epidemic is spreading continuously across the world, strong homesickness has made me firm my determination to return to my hometown at once. However, coming home was originally an easy thing to do, but now it becomes extremely complex at a critical time. I had no relatives abroad and could not get in contact with my mother at home. I felt very anxious and helpless. At this time, it suddenly occurred to me that I could contact the staff of the overseas Chinese federation in the community. Through WeChat, I left a message to Xiao Yang, a cadre of the overseas Chinese federation of the community, "I decide to come back and wish to get help." It was early morning in China when I left that message. I had not expected a quick reply from her. Yet when my mobile phone received a message "The guide to the operation of the health information declaration platform for overseas compatriots to come back", I finally felt at ease. Considering that my grandparents at home are old and have many inconveniences when isolated at home, I asked her whether we could be put at the same place for centralized isolation. Xiao Yang helped me write an application for me at once and won the approval from related departments. 21:00, March 10th I departed from London Heathrow Airport. My plane landed at Shanghai Pudong Airport on March 11. I remained in contact with Xiao Yang via WeChat all the time. After I took a Zhejiang shuttle bus from Shanghai Pudong Airport and reached the Dayun expressway intersection, I was picked by the coordinated disease control center of the health bureau of Xiacheng district to a centralized isolation point. The entire process was connected seamlessly, with zero contact with other irrelevant people. 00:17 am, March 11st I finally arrived at the isolation hotel. After registration, the medical workers sent me food at once. I finally returned. The returning trip seemed very long. Thanks a lot for all the people who had helped me that I could be isolated at ease and go home safely. Afterward, I heard that in order to effectively prevent the input of epidemic cases from abroad and build a joint prevention and control system emphasizing whole-course closed-loop control, scientific and accurate control, management services, Shiqiao sub-district has comprehensively sorted out the information of all people under its administration who are working, learning and living abroad, and got in contact with them through different channels. In order to follow up on the information and services in a timely manner, some communities have even designated the contact persons and announced their personal WeChat accounts to different countries such as the US, Japan, the UK, Germany, France, Italy...Due to the time difference, they are online around the clock every day. Before sleep, they would turn up the sound volume of their phones to the highest, because they were afraid that calls and messages from overseas compatriots may be missed. In this special period, I’ve received help and attention from many people. I feel very warm and full of positive energy as the motherland is caring about us. 我是一名就读于英国谢菲尔德大学的学生，今年的这趟回家旅程，让我深深体会到了侨联的力量和家乡的温暖。新年伊始，一场猝不及防的新冠肺炎疫情，打乱了人们的生活节奏。我妈妈作为一名一线医护人员，自1月28日起就因工作需要常驻单位，没回过家。疫情初期，杭州市下城区石桥街道侨联干部就与我取得了联系，询问我在国外的生活情况，还和我说家中年迈的外公外婆他们会帮忙照顾，让我放心。 随着疫情在全球持续蔓延，强烈的思乡情绪让我坚定了马上回家的决心，但是回家这件本来并不难的事，在这个关键时期变得格外复杂。一个人在国外举目无亲，国内的妈妈又联系不上，我觉得非常无助和焦虑，正当我不知所措时，忽然想到可以联系社区的侨联工作人员。 我通过微信，给社区的侨联干部小杨留言说：“我决定回家了，希望可以得到帮助。”当时是国内的凌晨，我本不报希望她会马上回复，可是当我的手机里出现“海外侨胞回国健康信息预申报平台操作指引时”，那颗悬着的心终于放了下来。考虑到家里只有年迈的外公外婆，居家隔离不方便，我还向她提出希望能够集中隔离，社区侨联干部小杨第一时间帮我代书了申请，并取得了有关部门的同意。 3月10日21：00 我从伦敦希思罗机场出发、3月11日上海浦东机场落地，我和小杨阿姨的微信一直没断过，整个回程全线关注。 从上海浦东机场坐浙江专班车到嘉善大云高速路口后，我就被下城区卫健局协调疾控中心统一接到了集中隔离点，整个过程无缝对接，与其他无关人员都是零接触。 3月11日凌晨00:17分 我终于到达了隔离酒店，登记好后，医护人员第一时间为我送来了食物。我终于回来了，这趟回程的时间仿佛特别漫长。非常感谢帮助过我的叔叔阿姨们，让我这个“小海龟”可以安心隔离、安全回家。后来我才得知，为了有效防范境外疫情输入，构建全程闭环管控、科学精准智控、管理服务并重的联防联控体系，下城区石桥街道全面排摸梳理了辖区内所有工作、学习、生活在境外的人员信息，并通过各种途径和他们取得了联系。 为确保随时掌握动态信息、及时跟进服务，有些社区还明确了联系人，并把个人的微信号推送到了世界各地，美国、日本、英国、德国、法国、意大利......因为时差的问题，他们每天都24小时在线，睡觉前还会把手机提示音开到最大，唯恐错过海外同胞们的来电和信息。 （来源：浙江侨联） 推广 一场病毒， 人们发现最大的竞争力是： 提高免疫力！
